Arlington, MN -May 24, 2025-After 4 inches of rain this past week, track conditions were less than ideal but didn’t hinder new cars to make it to victory lane. Justin Schelitzche, a newcomer to the Coors Light IMCA Sport Compact division was a first time winner after a red flag marring the race on the 5th lap. Another new car, Terry Gatton and the 46s of Jared Sloss were racing each other for last place and made contact, Gatton rolled his car on the back stretch. That ended his night and a couple laps later Sloss pulled into the pit area as well. Schelitzche had moved up to take the lead right before the red flag from Alan Lahr and as the race restarted he stayed in the top spot with another newcomer Brandon Hartmann taking 2nd ahead of Dale Gatton.
Tyler Domeier was the early leader in the Jack Pines Resort IMCA Hobby feature but half way through the race Cory Probst who had started 10th and got around him. On the 8th lap, the 7k of Jonathan Schroeder drove into the pit area and his car started on fire causing a yellow flag. When the race restarted Probst again took the lead with Domeier following him but as the white flag came out, Domeier had troubles and exited the track giving 2nd place to Ben Davis who had also started 2nd. Taylor Manderfield also finished 3rd next to Davis.
Mark Oestreich was the early leader in the Olson Snowplowing Lawn Care Outlaw Hobby feature but on lap 8 a yellow came out for a stalled car in the infield of Zach Wisch. The next restart the 87 of Garett Uecker did a 360 spin by himself bringing the yellow flag out again. On the restart, Dan Eckblad was able to get around Oestreich for the lead and went on to win once again. The last 5 laps of the race, Craig Groebner tried to dial in on Eckblad but he settled for 2nd ahead of Ostreich.
Ben Enter got crossed up on the first lap of the Arlington State Bank IMCA No Sport Modified feature which brought out the yellow flag. On the restart, Jeff Carter had a strong lead with the 75 of Jeff Lloyd behind him. On the 9th lap, Lloyd got around Carter and and held on for the lead and winning his first feature in several years. Carter took 2nd ahead of Matt Looft and 4th went to Zach Davis.
The Rice Companies IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature went flag to flag with the 1300 of Brett Allen taking the lead from his 2nd row start and not looking back. Early contender Trevor Serbus pulled off the track after the 8th time around. Matt Johnson had his sights on the top spot but he was also holding off Bill Johnson and that is how they finished the race. Brandon Allen took 4th place.
AJ Zimerman and Mark Zimmerman started side by side in the B&B Racing Chassis IMCA Stock Car feature but there were several position changes in the race . Dan Mackenthun worked his way up to battle with AJ from his 10th place start and was soon the leader in the race. Then both Dan Eckblad and Dave Moriarty along with Tim Pessek were all in the mix swapping positions lap by lap. On the 12th lap both the cars of Brent Uecker and Randy Melvin pulled into the pit. Mackenthun was able to hold on for the win and Eckblad took 2nd with Pessek crossing in 3rd and Moriarty in 4th while AJ held on for 5th.
The Ottomotive Tire & Repair IMCA Modified feature also saw a first lap caution when the 71N spun out. On the restart, Chad Porter took the lead as he had gained a spot due to the caution and he became the leader for the first 7 lap but the following lap, he fell back. The race was then lead by Clint Hatlestad for the duration with Trent Loverude taking 2nd head of Porter and Dan Menk.
Cody Sievert took the lead on the 3rd lap of the EZ Wash & Storage Truck Cross feature on the 2nd lap from Josh Compton. The two trucks battled each other the entire distance but it was Sievert coming out the winner.
The Jerry’s Home Quality Foods AutoCross feature saw 13 cars begin the feature. Hannah Buskey was the first lap leader until the 10 of Kailyn Thul took over the race with the 50 of Emily McConnell contending with her the entire distance. On the white flag lap McConnell got around Thul along with Nick McConnell. A misfortune happened on the last lap as the # 3 of Hannah Buskey took the lead and Emily took her out so Emily was disqualified and the winner was Buskey with Jake Trebesch taking 2nd.
