The Arlington Raceway has been a southern Minnesota institution for over 43 years, making it the longest running dirt track in Minnesota under the same ownership. The track is located on the Sibley County Fairgrounds in Arlington, MN. Four generations of the Allen family have been involved at the track since its inception in 1981. Under the ownership of Bob & Susan Allen, the track has seen many changes. The track surface has been completely resurfaced many times, the pit area has been moved from the infield to the north side of the track, cement walls have been erected around the perimeter as well as new lighting in the pit area and on the track. Many improvements have been made keeping the safety of the participants in mind.
The Arlington Raceway is also the longest running IMCA sanctioned track in Minnesota. The track offers a wide variety of racing activities including go-karts, auto and truck cross, and IMCA sanctioned sport compacts, hobby, northern sport modifieds, RaceSaver 305 sprints, and modifieds as well as the outlaw hobby division. Our participant base is very competitive and fans enjoy the wide range of divisions offered. The oval track hosts the big cars, the cross track hosts the auto and truck cross and the go-karts have their own track as well.
Son Levi Allen is the track manager and race director and keeps the show moving to get the event over with in a timely manner. Son Brett helps with the marketing of the track and grandkids are also involved working at the track. For race fans not able to make it to the track on a Saturday night IMCA.tv now live streams the events. Oval track racing action begins at 7:00 each night from the beginning of May through the end of September.
