Serv Pro: Team Ray, Hutchinson & Waconia N Night
Another steamy night at Arlington Raceway produced some hot racing action. Cory Probst prevailed once again in the Jack Pines Resort IMCA Hobby feature taking the lead on the 7th lap from RJ Esquedo in the flag to flag race. Chad Volk moved up from his 8th starting spot to challenge but settled for 2nd ahead of George Motto.
The Coors Light IMCA Sport Compact feature saw Jason Bolte lead for 3 laps holding off charging Justin Schletzke. The fourth time around Schletzke took over the lead and then a yellow flag came out when there was an altercation on the track with Gary Schumacher and Alan Lahr. Schumacher was sent to the pit and Schletzke took over the lead again and won with Bolte holding on for 2nd and Dale Gatton taking 3rd.
A last lap pass in the Olson Snowplowing and Lawn Care Outlaw feature saw Jesse Anderson in victory lane. Kris Flewelling had led from the 2nd lap but Anderson was hot on his tail the entire distance and got the opportunity to finish the race in front of him. Flewelling took 2nd and Craig Groebner took 3rd.
There was a 3 way battle in the Arlington State Bank IMCA Sport Modified feature as Bryan Spaude was the early leader with Zach Davis and Joey Reimers both racing for the 2nd spot. On the 6th lap, a yellow came out for a tire that was on the track. The cars were lined back up and now Davis was in the lead and Reimers was challenging him but he now had Jeff Lloyd to contend with also. In the end, Davis was the winner and Reimers took 2nd with Lloyd finishing in 3rd.
Zach Glaser led the first 11 laps of the Rice Companies IMCA Sprint feature. His first challenger was Matt Hasara in the 81 car but by lap 10 Matt Johnson was making moves to get by Hasara and he did . Then two laps later Johnson and Glaser were side by side with Johnson taking the lead and win. Glaser took 2nd and Bill Johnson had moved into 3rd place.
The B&B Racing Chassis IMCA Stock car feature was an exciting caution free race to watch with a 3 way battle for the lead. The early leader was Chris Neisen taking a commanding lead from his pole position start. By lap 12, Ken Tietz who had started 5th was looking for the front and he took over the race lead. A couple of laps later Matt Looft was in the equation but Tietz held him off. Looft tried both the high and low side to get around Tietz but Tietz did a great job blocking him until the very last lap. Tietz, Looft and Dan Mackenthun all came into turn #4 together with Tietz leading but Looft dove underneath him as Mackenthun took the high side and Looft crossed the line first with Mackenthun in 2nd and Tietz in 3rd. Tim Pessek who had been in 2nd for over half of the race took 4th.
The Ottomotive Tire & Repair IMCA Modified feature found Chad Porter in victory lane leading the entire distance. Trent Loverude took 2nd with JJ Reimers taking 3rd. A yellow came out on lap 13 when the 74c of Clint Hatlestad got a left front flat tire. The battle of the race was actually in the back of the field between Jason Schroeder and Rick Nelson as the two kept racing side by side and shuffling spots with Schroeder taking the flag first.
Ryan Kisor found victory lane for the first time in the EZ Wash & Storage Truck Cross Feature as he started on the front row and was able to maintain the lead the entire distance to win his first feature. Cody Sievert took 2nd and Kayla Oestreich took 3rd.
The Jerry’s Home Quality Foods Auto Cross feature had three different leaders with Justin McConnell leading the first lap but the #10 of Kailynn Thul took over on the 2nd lap. She only held on for 2 laps as the 30 of Nick McConnell was on the move, he had started 9th and by lap 4 he was the leader for the remaining 5 laps of the race. Jack Trebesch who had started right ahead of Nick followed him to the checkered flag to take 2nd and Thul took 3rd.
