Clint Hatlestad took full advantage of his front row redraw position as he pulled away from the field on the start of the Ottomotive Tire & Repair IMCA Modified feature. A yellow came out when Mark Noble spun on lap three. On the restart, Jeremy Mills who had started two rows behind Hatlestad moved up into the 2nd spot ahead of Chad Porter. Soon Trent Loverude was challenging Mills, he encountered troubles on lap 8 making contact with Loverude and driving into the infield and ending his race. Loverude kept going but lapped traffic got between him and Hatlestad giving Hatlestad a clear shot at winning the race and the banking the $1050.00 Jeff Rucks Memorial win. Loverude took 2nd and Porter followed in 2nd.
There were 5 yellow flags and 1 red flag in the Jack Pines Resort IMCA Hobby feature which ended up being cut short to 10 laps. A first lap mishap occurred in turn #4 when Patrick Oestreich spun and Chad Volk drove into him with no where to go. Both were out of the race with damage. The next yellow flag happened when the bumper off of RJ Esquedo’s car came off on the track, he then went to the pit. A couple more laps down and two more cars spun out with troubles ending their night. When the cars were actually racing Cory Probst led the race from start to finish picking up another feature win. Taylor Manderfeld took 2nd place and Jonathon Schroeder had a solid 3rd place. With only two laps to go, another red flag came out when the 16b of Levi Barna had troubles and drove across the track, hit George Motto and his car landed on top of the wall. Both drivers were ok but out of the race.
Gary Schumacher had a stellar race in the Coors Light IMCA Sport Compact feature as he led from start to finish to win the race. Dale Gatton started 7th and by the end of the first lap he was contending with Schumacher, racing in 2nd place the distance until the last lap as Justin Dose got around him to claim 2nd place.
Cody Flewelling raced his best race of the year in the Olson Snowplowing & Lawn Care Outlaw feature leading every lap holding off Mark Oestreich and returning 39x driver Dan Eckblad. Eckblad hammered down and was able to pass Flewelling on the final lap to take the win from his. Cody took 2nd and Oestreich took 3rd.
Matt Schoenke led the fist three laps of the ASB Northern Sport Modified feature. The first lap Scott Koep challenged Schoenke but by the next lap Broddy Enter was making oved to get around both of them. The third time around Enter took over the lead and went on to win the race. Eric Larson took 2dn and Jeff Lloyd took 3rd.
There were three different leaders in the Rice Companies IMCA Sprint feature. Andrew Allen led the fist lap from his pole position start but soon Brett Geldner who started alongside Allen took the high side and passed him in the turn. A yellow came out on lap 7 which gave Matt Johnson the chance to gain positions as he passed Andrew on the restart. Four laps later Johnson was putting pressure on Geldner and on the 12th lap he got around him to take the lead and win. Geldner held on for 2nd and Brandon Allen took 3rd.
Twenty-four cars started the B&B Racing Chassis IMCA Stock Car feature and it turned out to be a crash fest too. Jeff McCollum was the leader for two laps and then the first yellow came out when Matt Schauer spun in turn #4 and taking Jed Trebelhorn with him to the pit. A couple laps later the 71D of Shaun Bruns spun out which put a couple more cars in the pit. On that restart, Brent Uecker became the new leader as he got around McCollum on the backstretch. On lap 16 Josh Larsen spun out on the backstretch which caused another restart and gave Matt Speckman the opportunity to dive under Uecker on the backstretch and take over the lead for the last 5 laps of the race. Uecker took 2nd and McCollum held on for 3rd place.
All of the EZ Wash & Storage Truck Cross finished on the lead lap with Dustin Theuringer leading the first five laps from his front row starts and getting shuffled back spots by the sixth lap. Mitchel Penaz took over the lead with Ryan Kisor and Cody Sievert switching spots to challenge him. In the end Penaz finished the race first, Sievert in 2nd and Brandon Karnick took 3rd place.
The Jerry’s HQ Foods AutoCross feature was led the entire distance by Colten Landwer, he and the 01 of Justin McConnell both got around lapped traffic giving themselves extra distance in the 18 car field. Landwer won his first event of the year.
